Stock market is holding back sharp appreciation since August
ASPI climbed heights for the year in the first week of August generating close to 37% appreciation for the year. Since then it has been held back for the last seven weeks as the earnings have slowed down and the economy is yet to bounce back.
Turnover is just around LKR 1Bn, very much lower than the average daily turnover of LKR 3.3Bn. Recorded net foreign outflow of LKR 151Mn.
